Children's Sabbath Schools

OUR CLASSES

At CVC, kids are important, and we love partnering with you to help them become rooted in their faith and built up in Jesus. Every Sabbath morning, our Sabbath School ministry engages children and youth in Bible-based, age-appropriate programming meant to teach them about the God who loves them and the blessing of being His kids. Classes start at 9:45 a.m.

The classes are divided by Grades.
  • Beginner I ( Birth - 1 year old)
  • Beginner II ( 2 & 3 year olds)
  • Pre-K (4 & 5 year olds)
  • Kindergarten & 1st Grade
  • 2nd & 3rd Grades - meeting in the 3rd floor Annex
  • 4th & 5th Grades
  • Jr. High (6th-8th Grades)

Our NEW curriculum, Alive in Jesus, is a Bible-based curriculum that seeks to equip parents, caregivers, and teachers to spiritually nurture a thriving relationship with Jesus and a love for His word in the lives of children and youth. This brand new curriculum will be launched in stages:

2025: Babies & Beginners
2026: Kindergarten & Primary
2027: Junior & Teen

More information about Alive in Jesus can be found here: https://www.aliveinjesus.info

In the interim, Beginner through 2nd & 3rd grade classes will use the GraceLink Curriculum: https://www.gracelink.net. (Teachers may access weekly lesson guides via the link provided. Parents may also access weekly devotional activities.)

4th grade through Jr. High will use PowerPoints: https://www.juniorpowerpoints.org/page2447 (Teachers may access weekly lesson guides via the link provided. Parents may also access weekly devotional activities.)

Group Worship: 2nd through 5th grade classes will meet in the 3rd-floor Annex from 9:45 - 10am for corporate worship weekly. Once corporate worship is over, the leaders will escort their students to their respective classrooms for lesson and activity time.

We believe that when parents and church leaders work together, we build up young men and women to walk closely with Jesus throughout their lifetime.

We can’t do this successfully without your participation, encouragement, support, and follow-through in the home. Will you support us?
  • Scripture memorization is a gift and always available for counsel, wisdom, and guidance. We truly appreciate you encouraging your children to memorize memory verses that accompany each lesson.
  • Ask your children what they learned or discussed in class.
  • Encourage your children to respect their instructors and their peers by listening during lesson time and participating during worship time.
  • Consider volunteering your time. We would love your help with storytelling or leading out with hands-on activities. It can be as seldom as once a month.
