At CVC, kids are important, and we love partnering with you to help them become rooted in their faith and built up in Jesus. Every Sabbath morning, our Sabbath School ministry engages children and youth in Bible-based, age-appropriate programming meant to teach them about the God who loves them and the blessing of being His kids. Classes start at 9:45 a.m.
The classes are divided by Grades.
NEW curriculum!
Alive in Jesus, is a Bible-based curriculum that seeks to equip parents, caregivers, and teachers to spiritually nurture a thriving relationship with Jesus and a love for His word in the lives of children and youth. This brand new curriculum will be launched in stages:
2025: Babies & Beginners
2026: Pre-K, Kindergarten & Primary
More information about Alive in Jesus can be found here: https://www.aliveinjesus.info
Growing Together, is a multigenerational Sabbath School and church curriculum, rooted in faith and grace. The curriculum brings families together in worship by having each family member, from children to adults, study the same Bible story each week, tailored to their developmental age group. This brand new curriculum will be launched in October 2025 for the following classrooms:
- Juniors (4th and 5th grade)
- Jr. High (6th - 8th grade)
More information about Growing Together can be found here: https://growingtogether.church/about-us
Group Worship: 2nd–5th grade students are encouraged to join us in the 3rd-floor Annex from 9:45–10:00 AM each Sabbath for a time of music, worship, and breakfast snacks. Following this corporate worship, children will be dismissed to their classrooms for engaging lessons and activities designed to help them grow in faith and community.
We believe that when parents and church leaders work together, we build up young men and women to walk closely with Jesus throughout their lifetime. We are inviting all parents to get involved in the classroom whether it is by teaching, providing breakfast snacks, music, crafts, or community outreach. Please sign up to help out in one of our Sabbath School classrooms by contacting Pastor Nicole at 347-931-5922 or by completing the volunteer sign-up sheet in the "Sabbath School Parent Resources" tab on the app.
We can’t do this successfully without your participation, encouragement, support, and follow-through in the home. Will you support us?

- Scripture memorization is a gift and always available for counsel, wisdom, and guidance. We truly appreciate you encouraging your children to memorize memory verses that accompany each lesson.
- Ask your children what they learned or discussed in class.
- Encourage your children to respect their instructors and their peers by listening during lesson time and participating during worship time.
- Consider volunteering your time. We would love your help with storytelling or leading out with hands-on activities. It can be as seldom as once a month.
