Hello, August!

Hi Parents!

Can you believe we’re already in the final stretch of summer break? I hope these last few weeks are filled with rest, joy, and sweet family memories. As we look ahead, I’m filled with anticipation for all that this new school year will bring. There are several exciting opportunities for your child (ren) to get involved in our kids’ programs this fall—be sure to check them out!

This month, our character emphasis is humility: recognizing that without the help of God and others, our achievements in life would not have been possible. The opposite of humility is pride, which tempts us to believe we’ve done it all on our own. One of the best ways to practice humility in our homes is to regularly thank God for His faithfulness—remembering that every good gift comes from Him. Here are a few simple ways to cultivate humility together this month:

Start a gratitude journal and write down what God has done for your family.

Encourage your kids to celebrate others’ successes with kind words and joy.

Do a chore or act of service for someone else without being asked or recognized.

Talk openly about times when you needed help—and how God or others came through.

Let’s remind our children (and ourselves) that we truly can do nothing without Him—and that’s a beautiful, freeing truth.

Joyfully in Jesus,
Pr. Nicole
